ABOUT BLUEMOON ADAPTIVE RIDING

BlueMoon Adaptive Riding was born not from a corporate plan, but from pure heart and genuine need. Years ago, friends and neighbors with both special needs children and typical kids who simply yearned to connect with horses started reaching out, asking if I could offer riding time and quiet moments at the barn for their kiddos. Truthfully, this calling found me. At the absolute heart of our beginning was my Spanish Arabian gelding, Bravoso. My "brother horse," Bravoso was by my side for 38 unforgettable years before passing away at the age of 40. He was an extraordinary partner—patient, intuitive, and deeply grounding—who showed me firsthand how transformative the bond between a child and a horse could be. Watching the profound impact those early sessions had on children, I realized just how much this program was needed in our community. What started as informal horsemanship grew into a lifelong passion. Driven by love for the work, I pursued the formal education, specialized training, and professional certifications necessary to build a fully legitimate, high-standard adaptive riding program. Here we are 10 years later! What began with one incredible horse and a simple desire to help has grown into a thriving haven of healing, confidence, and connection. Today, BlueMoon continues to honor Bravoso's legacy by welcoming riders of all abilities to experience the unique magic of horses.
